Summary:

RTL - Networks is seeking an experienced Engineer Systems IIto join our team on an upcoming effort at NAVWAR HQ in downtown San Diego. The ideal candidate will have existing experience with US Navy or other DoD environments and applications. As an Engineer Systems II, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining complex systems and software solutions. Your expertise will be paramount in ensuring the efficiency, reliability, and scalability of our systems.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to assess, design, and implement human-centered solutions across various projects.
• Apply your knowledge of the Department of Defense Architecture Framework/Unified Architecture Framework (DoDAF/UAF) to ensure compliance and alignment with established standards.
• Collaborate with IT teams to integrate systems engineering solutions into the broader project environment.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and analyze system requirements.
• Design and develop innovative solutions to complex technical problems.
• Coordinate with stakeholders to understand business needs and translate them into technical requirements.
• Conduct system testing and debugging to ensure optimal performance.
• Provide technical guidance and support to junior team members as needed.
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in system engineering.
• Document all relevant system design and development activities.
• Ensure compliance with organizational policies and procedures.

Qualifications:

• ABET Accredited BS Degree from a recognized engineering curriculum (ME/EE/IE/CSE) OR a BS Degree in physical science, engineering, or mathematics with relevant coursework.
• 3 years of professional experience in systems engineering.
• Significant experience in U.S. Navy/DoD programs or operations is highly preferred.
• DoD Secret Security Clearance
• Knowledge of the Department of Defense Architecture Framework/Unified Architecture Framework (DoDAF/UAF).
• Relevant certifications earned in a U.S. Navy/DoD environment are preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

SECURITY CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS: Must currently hold a security clearance at the Secret level. US Citizenship is a requirement for clearance at this location.
