RTA Group is Hiring a Director of Accounting Near Lewisville, TX
Responsibilities:
- Manage all accounting functions and ensure integrity of company financial records
- Complete and maintain monthly account reconciliations.
- Work closely with operational groups to ensure timely and relative financial data
- Lead the month-end close process and perform financial statement variance analysis
- Closely monitor and control books of company to ensure timely, accurate and proper accounting of all operational transactions of company
- Oversee A/R and A/P processes and ensure accuracy and timely follow-up
- Perform coordination and oversight for areas including payroll, inventory, and fixed assets
- Manage project/product costing and job costing
- Manage interim and annual audits, including the preparation of support and analysis schedules
- Maintain and update financial controls and tables of accounting systems (MS Dynamics 365 Business Central)
- Assist in implementation of new systems supporting financial, operational and administrative activities of the company
- Ensure timely and accurate state and local tax filings (sales, property tax)
- Manage and develop other accounting professionals and clerical staff in a team environment
Requirements
- CPA
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or similar field
- Solid knowledge of GAAP and cost accounting principles
- 7 years of relevant accounting experience
- 5 years of manufacturing with project accounting or similar industry experience
- Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central is highly desired; similar systems considered, such as MS Navision or Great Plains
- Proven knowledge of accounting processes, procedures, internal controls and integration of operational and financial processes
- Proficiency in MS Office applications: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Teams
- Experience in systems implementation/conversion desirable
- Committed to continuous improvement and meeting deadlines
