Job Title: Timesheet Processor – Payroll Assistant

Location: Oak Ridge, Tennessee

Status: Full-Time – Non-Exempt

RSI is recruiting for Timesheet Processor – Payroll Assistant who will review and process weekly timesheets and track them for reporting purposes. Secondary support for month‐end processing of teaming partner invoices; and other accounting functions as necessary. This position will report to the Business Services Vice President.

Primary responsibilities and essential functions:

• Review timesheets for accuracy of charge codes, hours worked and other pay types to ensure proper processing of payroll.
• Adjust timesheets as needed, inputting proper notes for audit and record keeping purposes.
• Follow up with employees and supervisors/managers as needed to complete or correct timecards as needed.
• Track trends of timesheet entry errors and communicate to the VP of Business Services as needed.
• Assist with processing payroll and other accounting tasks as needed.
• Assist employees with access to the timekeeping software.
• Provide timesheet copies as needed for billing support to customers.
• Other duties as assigned.

Work experience required:

• Software proficiency such as Microsoft Excel with the ability to navigate spreadsheets and know how to create and use formulas to perform data comparisons and analyses.
• Ability to use a laptop computer and to navigate multiple applications simultaneously.

Skills and capabilities needed:

• Experience working in a fast-paced accounting environment which processes up to 10,000 transactions per month.
• Experience and understanding of certified payroll is preferred.
• Strong analytical skills.
• Ability to work with voluminous data and multiple transactions in a team setting.
• Experience in Deltek Costpoint using the Time and Expense module.
• Ability to apply knowledge and work in a complex job cost environment.

Required Education:
One to three years of relevant work experience is required. Bachelor’s or Associates degree in business administration or accounting is preferred.
