We manufacture our own stainless steel submersible pumps and powerful surface pumps. We are in a pretty fast-paced growth stage right now- you would be one of the new members of a small but quickly expanding team. We are passionate about saving ranchers, farmers, offgrid-ers and homesteaders money while teaching them how easy it is to DIY themselves.

You’ll be in good company here at RPS! You’ll be in the sales department, but this isn’t really a traditional “sales” role and most of the time you’re focused on educating the customer, walking them through options and valuing friendly helpfulness to make sure the customer gets the right thing they need. No high pressure sales pitches here, but you should be interested in learning our sales process and implementing best practices.T

The ideal candidate will be able to…

• Quickly become trained on sizing water pumps and helping to design irrigation/household/livestock/pond water systems with lots of help from the RPS Water Pumps team.
• We have trained lots of people who had no prior submersible water pump experience, we can train you too, but you must have a passion for learning new things!
• Help customers get pricing and purchase solar pumps
• Continually ask questions and increase product/system knowledge
• Help with general questions about our systems and installation, support, sales
• Build invoices, send quotes and follow up emails with customers
• For the first few weeks, balance learning with on-the-phone time. You’ll begin with our “Customer Connections” team where duties include…
• Answering customer phone calls,
• Communicate in a friendly helpful manner on the phone and in person (usually phone but we have a few customers that stop by!)
• Learn to navigate and effectively use softwares including a CRM, Shopify for checking out customers and making invoices, over-the-net phone, Slack and Google Drive
• Proficient in technology including Mac & PC, comfortable with phones, emails and learning new software

We work hand in hand with our sister company, RPS Solar Pumps, so you may end up helping with phones for both companies early on, but as you solidify training you’ll settle in with RPS Water Pumps more permanently.

No prior solar or water pump experience required, but a technical familiarity, agricultural background, or personal interest in any of the facets of the business is encouraged.
