1 YEAR EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
Pay: $16 - $20/Hr. DOE
- Must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
- Ability to read write and comprehend for the purpose of communicating safety instructions and work directions.
- Be aware of and observe quality requirements.
- Must be able to work with manual and powered hand tools, and must be able to distinguish colors.
- Experience in powder coating processes.
- Reads and follows shop order and paint schedule and/or receives instructions from supervisor regarding painting.
- Prepares (mask), coats, and finishes metal and/or other surfaces.
- Determine appropriate preparation of surfaces and application of paint for both applying primer as well as final finish to product.
- Sandblast parts are consistent with internal quality needs and customer standards. Inspects surfaces to prepare for painting.
- Operates nozzle-type coating equipment to spray industrial paint finishes on metal.
- Inspects painted units for runs, debris, sags, and uncoated areas.
- Coated parts must be uniform in mil thickness and conform to the specified color.
- Keeps work areas clean and orderly.
- Touches up defective areas of coated items.
