Lawn Maintenance Crew Member

A Lawn Maintenance Crew Member is responsible for completing all lawn maintenance related tasks, including but not limited to reporting to the Lawn Maintenance Foreman, assisting crew members, maintaining tools and equipment, and ensuring hazard-free work areas. This position requires physical strength, ability to work in all weather conditions, and a friendly and positive attitude. It is imperative to carry out instructions efficiently and complete all tasks to the highest standard.

A Lawn Maintenance Crew Member must be skilled in the proper and safe application of all phases of landscape construction including but not limited to:

• Mow turf using various mowers, Edge grass at curbs and walkways, Blow leaves and clippings, Prune shrubs and trees as needed and clear debris, Pull weeds as needed, Clean site and watch for trash, limbs, and rocks, Prep soil uniformly for flower or groundcover installation, Plant material properly considering depth, size, placement, and spacing, Apply mulch appropriately for type of material, Edge beds or establish new bed edges, Unload equipment from trucks/trailers, Wash equipment and vehicles, Change equipment blades and oil, Clean air filters, Grease machines, and more…

A Lawn Maintenance Crew Member must be skilled in the proper and safe use of a variety of equipment such as:

• Mowers, blowers, clippers, shovels, edgers, and more...

• Provide operational and technical guidance to project and field teams
• Set up and clean up and take good care of our trucks and machinery
• Assist / train existing and new team members on daily processes, as required
• Implement and ensure all facets of: Safety, Quality, Productivity for the business
• Operate various types of equipment and machinery associated with this job description

Safety Management

• Have zero preventable accidents
• Maintains and promotes safe working conditions in the field always
• Follow company procedures on discipline if any safety rules are broken
• Ensure a safe environment for employees, customers, and the general public
• Ensure the safe proper use and application of Company equipment and tooling
• Setting up safety items including positioning cones and signs and roping or taping off crew work areas

Equipment Management

• Is accountable for neglect and abuse of assigned equipment
• Ensure all daily equipment, tools, and supplies are gathered, loaded, and secured onto assigned vehicles and trailers
• Complete pre-trip safety checklists daily via FLEETIO
• Ensure the safe, proper use and application of Company equipment and tooling
• Responsible for cleanliness of company vehicles and equipment
• Adherence to all RPM Policies and Procedures for Vehicle Operations

Image Compliance

• Maintain a clean, neat, and professional image through the use of approved RPM apparel

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $16.00 - $20.00 per hour
