- Operate and uphold refrigeration systems, such as screw compressor packages utilizing ammonia, to ensure optimal food temperatures in accordance with company and USDA guidelines.
- Execute routine preventive maintenance on refrigeration equipment and address necessary repairs as required.
- Sustain ammonia evaporators and control stations to achieve and sustain suitable temperatures in specific areas, aligning with USDA and company standards.
- Ensure efficiency and appropriate levels of liquid in ammonia condensers to effectively complete the refrigeration cycle.
- Maintain boilers and steam controls to support processing, cooking, and sanitation procedures, adhering to production and USDA requirements.
- Perform chemical tests to maintain ideal water levels and prevent tube scaling, enhancing equipment performance.
- Monitor and sustain ammonia vessels and liquid pumps to supply ammonia or oil to designated areas and attain the necessary temperatures as dictated by USDA and company production standards.
- Carry out additional assigned duties from management.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in industrial maintenance with electrical training.
- A minimum of 2 years of experience as an operator in ammonia refrigeration.
- Former employees must wait at least 180 days for re-employment and are restricted to a maximum of 3 employments.
