Job Overview:

Our Veterinary Receptionists are the first point of contact for Royal Vista Veterinary Specialists clients and it requires compassion for them and their pets, an ability to multitask, and to keep the flow of the hospital moving efficiently and effectively. Strong communication skills along with maintaining a sense of calm under pressure are also keys to success.
Job responsibilities include:

  • Answering phones and completing patient histories for the DVM team
  • Monitor our app and email for incoming appointment requests
  • Responds quickly and calmly to emergencies
  • Maintains high standards of client and patient care
  • Communicates clearly with the veterinarians, other hospital personnel, and clients to
  • Must be friendly and flexible in the face of varying expectations from clients and coworkers
  • Able to multi-task, prioritize tasks well, and think creatively
  • Provide for patient and client comfort by keeping the hospital clean and presentable
  • Must be able to withstand unpleasant odors and noises.
Ideal candidate:
  • Customer Service experience in veterinary medicine (preferred)
  • Must be willing to work evenings and weekends
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Understanding of basic math and accounting
  • Strong critical thinking skills
  • Knowledge of MS Windows and Excel
  • Ability to multitask
  • Must be a natural with organizational abilities
Pay Range: $15-$16/hour
