Position Summary:

The Logistics Analyst is responsible for managing all prepaid and delivered freight (TL/LTL/Intermodal/Parcel) to ensure orders are picked up and delivered on time at the right cost. To achieve this, logistics analyst must work with warehouses, carriers, production, customer service and sales to ensure all parties are executing as desired and that any potential service failures are proactively communicated. Each planner is responsible for a geographic region and/or customer groups and is the business owner of that region and/or customer groups.

Job Responsibilities:

• Build TL/LTL/Intermodal shipment routes and tender prepaid loads to carriers.
• Collaborate with production schedulers to enter/track & trace internal stock transfer orders to transfer product between facilities.
• Coordinates with carriers to ensure on-time delivery by tracking trucks for pick-up, confirming appointments have been scheduled, estimating times of arrival and delivery, and recovering loads when necessary.
• Update ERP System with appointment information.
• Cultivate strong relationships with external carriers and internal customers (customer service, DC’s, and sales).
• Perform various analytics to monitor and track KPI’s such as: on time/in full, cost variances, accessorial charges, etc.
• Complete Monthly inventory cycle counts for assigned 3PL warehouses.
• Participates as needed in special department projects as determined by Leadership Team, or other appropriate supervisory personnel.
• All other duties as assigned.

Position Requirements/Qualifications:

• B.S. degree in supply chain management, logistics, business administration or similar transferable experience.
• Three (3) to five (5) years of successful work experience as a Load Planner, Transportation Analyst, Dispatcher or another relevant role.
• Strong problem solving, decision making, critical thinking, and negotiations skills.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively at all levels within the organization.
• Task oriented with strong organizational and time management skills.
• Thorough understanding of transportation modes and solutions.
• Knowledge of technologies, techniques and practices for load planning and scheduling.
