The Royal Caribbean Group’s has an exciting career opportunity for a full time Guest Claims Assistant reporting to the Risk Managment team. This position will be working onsite from Miami, Florida. Position SummaryWe are seeking a dedicated Guest Claims Assistant to join our dynamic team. This role is crucial in supporting the management and resolution of maritime guest claims. The ideal candidate will be responsible for administrative functions, documentation of new claims, and the effective organization of the guest claims inbox. This role requires excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to handle sensitive information with discretion. Essential Duties And Responsibilities
Efficiently open and document new claims in the claims management system
Ensure that all necessary details are accurately captured at opening including letter of representation, onboard medical records, booking information, cruise ticket contract, investigative materials, etc.
Perform data entry duties with a high level of accuracy and generate reports as required by the claims department or management
Application and creation of Future Cruise Credits (FCC).
Provide effective communication support between guests, attorneys and the claims team. This includes preparing and sending out acknowledgement of claims and templated responses regarding claim status, additional information needed, and resolution outcomes.
Lead the organization of the guest claims inbox, the central point of contact for guests pursuing claims and compensation guidance from internal and external stakeholders.
Liase with customer service to point requests in the right direction. Prioritize and distribute incoming correspondence to appropriate team members, ensuring timely responses and follow-up
Manage RCG mail for appropriate scanning and distribution of correspondence
Support the legal and claims team in handling requests for discovery, including collection and review of necessary documents, to ensure timely and accurate compliance with legal processes
Cross collaboration with various departments, necessitating a collaborative and flexible approach
Maintain strict confidentiality concerning all guest information and claims details in line with company policies and legal requirements
Qualifications, Knowledge, And Skills
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a related field (e.g., Legal, Administrative Assistance, Maritime Operations)
Proven experience in an administrative or assistant role, preferably in a legal, insurance, or claims environment
Strong organizational and multitasking skills with the ability to handle sensitive information discreetly
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Detail-oriented with an analytical acumen necessary for the demands of the claims processes
Demonstrated proficiency with MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, and Outlook)
