Role Description
The Stop Loss Claims Analyst is responsible for receiving and processing claims submitted by our third-party administrators. As a member of this team, you will receive and accurately input claims data. The Claims Analyst position is a great opportunity for an individual wanting to launch a career in the insurance industry. We are seeking a candidate who thrives in an independent work environment and possesses the ability to contribute ideas effectively within a team setting.
Key Duties & Responsibilities:
Initial point of contact in the claims department.
Setting up claims.
Conducting analysis of submission materials.
Utilize claim notices to determine appropriate claim action.
Communicate with third party administrators to discuss claim submissions.
Adjudication of claims up to a specific dollar limit.
Other duties as assigned.
Skills and Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree preferred.
Strong organization and detailed management.
Proficiency in all Microsoft Office applications.
Familiarity with learning new software systems.
An analytic approach to new challenges.
Collaborative attitude and desire to work on a team
Deductive reasoning and independent decision-making skills
Strong written communication skills
