Rothe Enterprises, Inc. is Hiring a Fabrication Tech Near Houston, TX
This position will represent Rothe Enterprises, Inc on the Cargo Mission Contract, (CMC3) at the Leidos Facility to provide mission support for NASA. The ideal candidate must be willing to embrace a culture of safety, showcase exceptional teamwork, problem solving, quality, and excel when provided training and work the necessary hours to complete the task assigned within the provided schedule demands.
Duties and Responsibilities
Support CMC Foam Operations team by providing manufacturing support to fabricate protective foam assemblies for the protection of hardware being flown to the International Space Station. Additional duties will include providing hands on support for prototyping, mockups, 3D printing, soft goods, electronic, and mechanical components or equipment builds.
Program and operate 3D printers
Setting up and operating CNC Machines
Perform hands on fabrication of contract products
Provide technical engineering support and perform steps via work authorizing documents
Move furniture, support lab organization, and cleaning as required
Must be capable of clearing and maintaining government badging and background check
Must be able to pass drug screening and adhere to random drug screening policy
Work M-F: in climate- controlled shop environment
Physical Requirements – Sitting, standing, walking, and lifting up to 50 lb.
Qualifications
Minimum of High School Diploma or equivalent and 2-5 years of relevant experience
Strong work ethic
Fabrication experience
Experience in the professional work environment
Experienced in the Microsoft Office Suite
The ability to use powered and unpowered tools to fabricate end items
General understanding of how to read and implement requirements from engineering drawings
Preferred
CAD design and modeling experience
Experience setting up and operating CNC Machines
Familiarization with NASA packaging and handling of space hardware
3D printing experience
Ability to provide technical engineering support and perform steps via work authorizing documents
