Crew Leader Landscape Maintenance

Position Type: Full Time- Non-Exempt

Pay Range: $19 to $24 per hour

Location: Sterling, VA

Job Summary:

This role ensures top-notch landscaping maintenance services by prioritizing client satisfaction. The Crew Leader oversees crew members, ensuring quality service within budgeted hours. Responsibilities include crew supervision, adhering to client preferences, task coordination, and safety enforcement. Required skills include landscaping knowledge, safety consciousness, receptiveness to feedback, and attention to detail. Preferred qualifications include 3 years of landscape maintenance experience and a clean driver's license and proficiency with landscaping equipment. Key Responsibilities:

  • LMA- Lead, Manage, and hold design-build crews Accountable to manage a crew of 2-4 laborers. Provides on site supervision of crew assignments. Trains the crew on the safe operation of equipment and proper horticultural practices
  • Participate in Maintenance Production- Actively services annual landscape maintenance contracts and special projects for company clients. Is attentive to the clients’ needs and requests as detailed on the preferences list and communicates any concerns or questions related to the clients’ gardens to the operations manager.
  • Time Keeping and Working Within Budget- Perform job tasks according to budgeted hours and materials. Record time and materials by task and job daily through Aspire.
  • Completion of Specified Tasks- Coordinates with the Production Manager to complete the necessary assignments to achieve successful landscape maintenance projects.
  • Follows Instructions- Listens to Production Manager instructions and provides quality landscape maintenance services and develops procedures to maximize efficiency and ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Crew Safety- Ensures that the crew conducts our operations according to Company policies and OSHA standards. Enforces proper usage of relevant PPE for the specific task.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Basic knowledge of landscaping tools and equipment.
  • Familiarity with lawn care techniques.
  • Ability to work safely and with a sense of purpose (i.e., hard worker)
  • Be receptive to feedback and coaching.
  • Have the ability to follow instructions and pay attention to details.

Preferred Education/Certification/Experience:

  • Experience in landscape maintenance and enhancement services (3 years).
  • Valid Driver’s License (Clean Record).
  • Bilingual (Spanish and English) is preferred.
  • Experience in the landscape industry, including proficiency using the common equipment and machinery.
