We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Director of Information Technology to lead our IT department in aligning technology initiatives with our strategic business objectives. The ideal candidate will bring a proven track record of implementing and managing advanced IT solutions, with a focus on enhancing data and analytics capabilities. This leadership role will play a pivotal role in driving innovation, ensuring data security, and supporting the organization's growth over the next five years.Major Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with executive leadership to align IT strategies with overall business goals.
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive IT strategy that supports Ross & Yerger's vision for data-driven decision-making.
  • Lead efforts to enhance data and analytics capabilities, ensuring the organization can make informed decisions based on reliable data.
  • Oversee the implementation and management of advanced analytics tools and technologies.
  • Assess and optimize the current IT infrastructure, ensuring scalability and security. Includes evaluation and determination of an appropriate virtual environment.
  • Implement and maintain cloud-based solutions to support the organization's evolving needs.
  • Provide strong leadership to the IT team, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and excellence.
  • Develop and mentor team members, encouraging continuous learning and skill development.
  • Establish and enforce data governance practices to ensure data accuracy, integrity, and security.
  • Stay abreast of industry regulations and implement measures to ensure compliance.
  • Evaluate and manage relationships with IT vendors, ensuring cost-effectiveness and high-quality service delivery.
  • Negotiate contracts and agreements to meet the organization's needs.
  • Facilitate seamless integration of IT services for both on-site and remote employees.
  • Implement collaboration tools and technologies to enhance communication and coordination.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Proven experience in a leadership role within IT, preferably as a Director or equivalent.
  • Strong background in data and analytics, with a track record of implementing successful initiatives.
  • Experience managing IT infrastructure, including cloud-based solutions.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
  • Knowledge of data governance, security, and compliance best practices.
  • Familiarity with the insurance industry is a plus.
