Personal Support Specialists (PSSs) providehands-on assistance with daily living for older adults with functionallimitations and people with disabilities. PSSs provide services related to amember’s physical requirements for assistance with Activities of Daily Living(ADLs) and Instrumental Activities of Daily Living (IADLs). A PSS providesthese services according to an authorized plan of care, which can be differentdepending on where and who they are working with.
The PSS (Personal Support Specialist) is responsible forproviding excellent, resident-centered, personal care. This care includesassistance with showering/bathing, dressing, toileting and mobility. Inaddition, the PSS will help with meal service, laundry, housekeeping and othertasks as assigned. The successful candidate is a compassionate, patientcaregiver with high energy and a strong desire to make a positive difference inthe lives of our residents.
