Rosina Food Products Inc. is Hiring a Building & Grounds Maintenance Near Seneca, NY

Experience and Requirements: 

  • Ability to drive a forklift and work from heights.
  • Basic knowledge of HVAC systems.
  • Proficient use of the CMMS System and other computer programs to effectively communicate between the Maintenance team as well as other departments.
  • Will be responsible for updating or creating work orders in the CMMS system to document work, which will include daily or weekly tasks.
  • Responsible for snow removal of facility, which will require operating snowplow, salt truck and front-loader to remove ice and snow from parking lots and assigned areas, which will require early morning starts, extended hours, and weekend duty including holidays. Valid drivers license would be required.
  • Shovel snow, basic landscaping and other duties as assigned related to facilities and maintenance.
  • Ability to operate hand and power tools.
  • Ensures breakdowns and repairs are logged for the purpose of generating a preventative maintenance program
  • Must be knowledgeable of and perform all duties in compliance with existing USDA, Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), State, Federal, and company regulations, policies and procedures including Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP’s), Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (HACCP) and safety regulations, including using all required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
  • Responsible for food safety.
  • Maintains a positive work atmosphere by conducting yourself with professionalism and communicating in a manner that gets along with coworkers, supervisors, customers, and vendors.
  • Must be flexible in work schedule; including working weekends and holidays if needed.
  • Works efficiently as a team player, helping to meet departmental and company goals and objectives.
  • Must have ability to plan work and as well as work independently; including attention to detail and accuracy in work performed.

  • Perform other related duties and assignments as required.
  • Will submit a weekly report on the status of ongoing projects as well as any major work that occurred throughout that time period.

Education and/or Experience

High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and 1-2 years in building maintenance, including background in electrical, plumbing and construction/carpentry or related experience and/or training.

Language Skills

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to complete routine reports and correspondence. Must possess good interpersonal skills, including being able to communicate effectively in both verbal and written form to other departments. 

Mathematical Skills

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent.

Reasoning Ability

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving few concrete variables in standardized situations.

Other Skills and Abilities

Ability to speak, read, write, and understand the English language. Basic computer skills. Must be able to read basic blueprints. Must be able to use small hand tools, as well as large power tools.

Min. Pay: $21.00/hr OT as needed

Rosina compensation is based on various factors including but not limited to job location, a candidate's education, training, experience, expected quality and quantity of work, required travel (if any), external market and internal value analysis including merit systems, as well as internal pay alignment.
