STUDENT AFFAIRS ANNOUNCES AN OPENING IN ADMISSIONS AND RECORDS/GRADUATION SERVICES
POSITION: Graduation Services Specialist
Description of Duties: Responsible for maintaining the accuracy, security, and integrity of the institution's student database, and for generating required audits, reports, and statistical data on the student population. Maintain daily requests for degree audits and applications for graduation. Perform degree checks and transfer credit evaluations. Compose and type letters to students for missing documents and other items about completing degree audits. Prepare graduation reports and statistics as required. Verify and maintain probationary and suspension students for accuracy. Prepare and evaluate Graduation lists for commencement. Enter student information into a database to include grade changes, degrees conferred, advanced standing, and transfer credit. Maintain records on members of Phi Theta Kappa and Who's Who Among Students in American Junior Colleges as well as other honors as needed for the commencement. Scan Degree Audits into Student's Permanent File. Regular attendance is an essential function of this position. Assist in compiling and submitting reports to governmental agencies, other institutions, and in-house departments. Assist in other areas of Enrollment Management as needed during peak work periods. Perform other related duties as assigned. Receive limited supervision from the Registrar and Associate Registrar and Graduation Office Coordinator.
Minimum Qualifications: Associate's Degree or equivalent. One year of Student Services, Higher Education, Teaching, Banking, Customer Service, or other administrative experience where a substantial amount of detailed work is accomplished. Good communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to meet deadlines and complete assigned projects in a timely manner. Must be highly organized and detail-oriented. Light lifting and light carrying of up to 25 lbs. required. Ability to reach above the shoulder. Time spent sitting, walking, standing, bending, and kneeling.
Desired Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree. Two years' experience in a college admissions and records office, college graduation office, or related area.
