Part-time Patient Care Coordinator for Physical Practice Private Practice

Are you seeking a fun, energetic work environment with coworkers who put the patient first? Are you detail-oriented, a problem solver, and able to prioritize duties efficiently?

We are a private outpatient physical therapy practice looking for a dynamic part-time Patient Care Coordinator (PCC) for the morning shift at our clinic in NW Portland.

The PCC is an integral position in our clinic. As the first person our patients see, you will set the tone and impression for them. We are looking for someone personable, naturally friendly, bright, and inquisitive with excellent communication skills, someone who can be an ambassador for our practice, and an exceptional team member. It is essential to support patients, answer their questions, and lead them in directions to solve issues they may have.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS AND JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • 1 year of medical office experience is preferred, ideally in an Occupational and/or Physical Therapy setting
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent
  • Strong written and verbal communication
  • Attention to detail and follow-through skills
  • Ability to manage time, multiple tasks simultaneously, and prioritize duties
  • Insurance benefit verification experience preferred
  • Experience with processing incoming referrals/scripts
  • Experience with EMR software and Google Suites
  • Medical Records, HIPAA, and OSHA experience
  • Able to demonstrate excellent customer service skills
  • Able to demonstrate excellent phone etiquette

RESPONSIBILITES:

  • Answering phones with exceptional professionalism and efficiency
  • Greeting and checking in patients with a warm and welcoming demeanor
  • Collecting co-pays and processing payments accurately
  • Scheduling patient appointments with attention to detail and efficiency
  • Communicating effectively with physical therapists to coordinate patient care
  • Verifying insurance benefits and assisting patients with insurance-related inquiries
  • Running reports and maintaining accurate data in Clinicient EMR
  • Maintaining a professional and organized front desk area
