Develops and refines processes for a wide range of components that are used in industrial and commercial refrigeration systems. Perform analysis and maintains technical product documentation.
Reviews project instructions and blueprints to ascertain test specifications, procedures, objectives, test equipment, nature of technical problem, safety, and possible improvements including part redesign, rearrangement, substitution, and materials changes.
Sets up and conducts tests of valves and related components to evaluate new designs and to obtain data for development, standardization, and quality control.
Analyzes test results against design or rated specifications and test objectives. Modifies or adjusts equipment test apparatus or equipment to meet specifications.
Prepares test documents, procedures, and data recording forms. Records test results, numerical and graphical data. May recommend changes in product or test methodology.
Other duties may be assigned.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
This position directs the work of the quality engineer and technicians/inspectors. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing daily work tasks; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree in a related field and three years of manufacturing experience; Associate's degree and five years of experience; or a combination of education and experience. Must have excellent Microsoft Office computer skills.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read, write, and interpret documents such as safety rules and regulations, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, proportions, algebra, geometry, trigonometry, probability, etc. Ability to understand and apply physical concepts such as pressure, flow, speed, horsepower, torque, motor current & voltage, service factor, work, energy, power, viscosity, fluid friction losses, etc. to everyday testing situations.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
