SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
Directly supervises employees in the department and conducts supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Bachelor’s degree and five (5) years of related experience in the procurement of castings finish machined parts, and other industrial commodities. Three (3) years of international experience setting up supplier partnerships in a global market. Requirements include APP or CPM, blueprint skills, and various purchasing related duties including negotiating, cost containment, supply chain, and advanced computer skills. Two (2) years of supervisory experience.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public. Proficiency in English is required.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistics, and fundamentals of geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
JOB SKILLS
Strong knowledge of purchasing fundamentals. Able to work independently and solve complex issues. Solid knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Proven experience with MRP and ERP systems. Strong leadership skills and proven experience in staff development. Is responsible to comply with ISO 9001:2000.
