JOB SUMMARY:The Roofing Foreman/Supervisor supervises all roofing employees and complies with all safety, quality, quantity, and housekeeping standards.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:1. Supervises all personnel and operations on the job.2. Maintains thorough knowledge of all processes and equipment.3. Reports any process and equipment problems.4. Trains, evaluates, and reviews roofing employees.5. Organizes work for smooth operations.6. Ensures that established policies, rules and regulations, and procedures are followed..7. Troubleshoots problems.8. Locates damages and leaks on roofs; removes gravel, felts, and insulation; and makes the appropriate repairs as needed.9. May work as part of a team to erect and work from scaffolding, rigging, platforms, or ladders according to the nature of the job.10. Performs preventive maintenance on roofs to include repair of frozen or clogged drains and removal of snow and water from roofs.11. Waterproofs roofs, pipes and flashings to extend life of buildings.12. Inspects roof drain grates, removes leaves and debris, and replaces damaged or missing drain grates.13. Determines best types of roofing materials needed for each project.14. Provides input, facilitation, and inspection for roof construction projects.15. Participates in on-going training and education that may relate to health and safety, building practices, and equipment.16. Drives truck with materials to building sites.17. Performs other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:1. Knowledge of proper methods to apply various types of roofing systems, including low slope roofing systems, wood shakes, shingles, and/or slate roofing.2. At least 2 years of on-the-job training and experience in commercial flat roofing.3. High school diploma, GED certificate.4. Valid driver’s license with clean driving record necessary to travel to different work sites and transport materials for job.5. Must possess excellent communication and leadership skills.6. Be a team player and possess a positive attitude.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:1. Manual dexterity to operate tools and equipment.2. Ability to work at heights.3. Physical strength to lift and move packages of roofing materials that may weigh up to 50 pounds.4. Ability to stand, walk, kneel, or crouch for extended periods.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:Work is performed outdoors in both cold and hot weather. Emergency repairs may require working in various types of stormy weather.

Pay: $22.00 - $30.00 per hour
