Position: Garage Door Technician

Location: Chicago, IL

Key Responsibilities:

Installation & Repair:

Install new garage doors and garage door openers.

Diagnose and repair malfunctions in residential and commercial garage doors and openers.

Replace worn or damaged parts such as springs, cables, rollers, and sensors.

Maintenance:

Conduct regular preventive maintenance checks to ensure smooth operation.

Lubricate moving parts and clean tracks to ensure the door operates smoothly.

Customer Service:

Provide exceptional service to all customers, ensuring their needs are met.

Educate customers on garage door safety and maintenance.

Documentation & Reporting:

Maintain accurate records of all installations, inspections, maintenance, and repairs.

Provide estimates for repairs and replacements, ensuring transparency with customers.

Safety Compliance:

Adhere to all safety protocols and standards during installation and repair.

Ensure that all installations meet local building codes.

Qualifications:

High School Diploma or equivalent.

Previous experience as a Garage Door Technician or in a related field is preferred.

Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.

Excellent customer service skills.

Ability to lift heavy objects and work in various weather conditions.

Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
