About the Job

Staff Accountants work in the finance department of Pivotal Aero to conduct consistent company procedures. Their role is to prepare and review financial information and organize it in a way that provides a clear picture of the company’s fiscal health. Staff Accountants can manage billing processes including accounts receivable and accounts payable. When processing financial documents, Staff Accountants may also look for ways to improve efficiency and recognize unnecessary expenses. They regularly update company records with details about income and itemized expenses to reflect the most accurate information and meet financial regulations.

Responsibilities

• Process high volumes of A/P transactions accurately and in compliance with company policies, including verification of 2-way and 3-way match.
• Review invoices and employee expense reports for proper documentation and coding.
• Provide excellent customer service to internal stakeholders and external vendors.
• Assist with quarterly reviews, annual audits, and financial systems implementations.
• Support special projects and ad-hoc assignments as needed.
• Support semi-monthly payroll processing as required.
• Provide direct support for other accountants by closing accounts, balancing daily cash in the bank, updating accounting entries and producing write-ups and projections based on past accounting reports.
• Throughout the day the Staff Accountant will make copies and sort them according to a logical organization structure to provide continuity in the company’s documentation.
• Participate in month-end close, cash reconciling to banks, book accruals and other account reconciliation.
• Maintain fixed asset accounts, addition, depreciation, impairment.
• Maintain prepaid accounts, ensuring accurate spending in the correct period.

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance.
• At least 2 years’ experience in accounting or a related field.
• Strong mathematical and analytical skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Good oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Ability to read and analyze financial reports.
