POSITION SUMMARY:
The systems engineer II is an experienced engineer with five or more years of experience managing computer systems and networks including VMware and Linux. They design new system architecture, monitor and maintain systems, troubleshoot and resolve complex system errors and inefficiencies, and ensure that the computer systems are running smoothly and effectively. Train and mentor junior systems engineers and technicians. Works collaboratively with other members of the team.
EDUCATION,TRAINING,EXPERIENCE,CERTIFICATION AND LICENSURE:
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIRED:
Knowledge of the assigned areas is required, through education, certification, or work experience.
WORK ENVIRONMENT AND OCCUPATIONAL HAZARDS:
Little or no exposure to occupational hazards. OSHA Bloodborne Pathogen Category 3.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Requires vision and hearing correctable to normal ranges. Ability to lift 50 pounds. Variable periods of standing and sitting.
WORK CONTACT GROUP:
May interact with clinical, and or non-clinical department personnel, as well as vendors and the Information technology department.
WORK SCHEDULE:
Day shift Monday-Friday, on-call evenings/weekends as necessary. Flexible work hours to meet the needs of the organization. This is either on-site or hybrid position with the ability to be onsite at least 3 days per week.
