We are actively seeking an Electrical Superintendent in the Greenville, S C area to join our award WINNING team.

Position Responsibilities of the Superintendent:

  • Read blueprints and specification to determine the scope of work, locations, quantities, and sizes of materials required
  • Identify all tools required for tasks
  • Identify safety risks and the precautions required to eliminate those risks
  • Assemble and install electrical equipment
  • Terminate wires and cable to electrical equipment such as but not limited to breakers and control panels
  • Test electrical components for continuity and proper voltage readings according to specifications
  • Inspect electrical equipment and components to identify hazards and to ensure the equipment is in good operational condition
  • Setup and maintain temporary power systems
  • Install and maintain grounding systems for all equipment and structures
  • Maintain knowledge of electrical theory for example but not limited to ohms law
  • Maintain proficiency in cable pulling methods use to run the cable through specified pathways
  • Utilize specialized electrical tools such as but not limited to ohm meters, multi-meters, and terminating devices
  • Troubleshoot equipment and systems for electrical malfunctions
  • Identify different types, gauges, and color of cables and wires
  • Follow instructions correctly
  • Must be reliable, accountable, and consistent in performing administrative processes
  • Illustrate knowledge and experience of working with a lock out tag out system
  • Express an excellent working knowledge of Residential Building Codes/Electrical Codes
  • Have knowledge in boxing and pulling romex in compliance with local building codes
  • Willing and able to follow all instructed safety regulations
  • Make it to work on time and work the designated schedule and any overtime as needed with the proper notification
  • Communicate well and have professional interpersonal skills
  • Able to train and coach coworkers
  • Provide on-site direction and leadership to workers
  • Management of material, deadlines and quality control of installations
  • Must follow all state/local building regulations from the National Electrical Code

Experience and Qualification Requirements of the Superintendent:

  • Must have a minimum of 5 years documented field work or completion of 4 year electrical apprenticeship program 
  • Must have an excellent understanding of the electrical industry
  • Must have experience finding and repairing faults in electrical systems
  • Must possess all Position Responsibilities as explained
  • Must be able to meet all physical requirements
  • Must be able to work at heights in excess of 30 ft.
  • Must have all required tools
  • Must have reliable transportation
  • Must submit to criminal background check
  • Must be able to pass drug screen

Preferred Additional Qualifications

  • Licensed Journeyman Electrician
  • Multi-family project experience
  • OSHA 30 hour Training

Physical Requirements

  • Must be able to adhere to large amounts of standing, walking, bending, squatting, sitting and lifting
  • Must be able to speak English and hear to communicate
  • Must be able to use arms and hands to signal, grab, hold, turn, push, and pull: objects, materials, controls and tools
  • Must be able to pick up, lift, carry and move up to 50 lbs. 
  • Must be able to work at heights, climb ladders and stairways, and occasionally work off of platforms/scaffolding, (using the appropriate fall protection requirements)
  • Must be able to work in all weather conditions (including heat, rain, cold and wind) while wearing appropriate PPE
  • Must be able to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) including but not limited to: hard hat, safety glasses, ear plugs, masks/respirators, hi-vis safety vests, gloves and safety toe, construction-grade work boots
