Description
As a Buyer/Planner, you play a pivotal role in the procurement process, ensuring the efficient and cost-effective acquisition of goods and services essential for the organization's operations. This position requires a keen eye for detail, strong negotiation skills, and a comprehensive understanding of supply chain dynamics. The Buyer is instrumental in maintaining a seamless flow of supplies while optimizing costs and adhering to quality standards.
· Analyses and management of Approved Supplier List (ASL) in order to ensure suppliers are qualified for approval.
· Interacts with suppliers to obtain favorable pricing terms, product specifications, monitor availability, and optimize savings.
· Assessing needs of internal project teams.
· Initiates, prepares, processes, and verifies purchase orders as specified in Rolenn’s Quality Procedures.
· Works with Receiving Inspection to ensure PO requirements are met as stated.
· Inputs transactions and administers M3.
· Works in conjunction with Receiving Inspection and Quality Assurance.
· Preparing reports and maintaining accurate and procurement records.
· Expedites orders, as needed, and resolves issues with changes, returns, replacements, and credit arrangements.
· Works in conjunction with Senior Management on purchases over signatory authority.
· Advises Senior Management of key metrics related to the purchasing process.
· Other duties as required.
Requirements
· Functions well as a Team player.
· Strong organizational skills.
· Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
· Strong working knowledge of purchasing and supply chain management.
· Robust analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
· Skilled with Microsoft Office and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems.
