**Job Summary:**

The Accounting 1 Admin will play a crucial role in the day-to-day financial operations of our construction company. They will be responsible for supporting the accounting team by handling various administrative tasks, ensuring accurate financial data entry, and providing essential administrative support to the finance department.

Key Responsibilities:

Accurately input financial data, including invoices, receipts, and expenses into the accounting system.

Maintain organized and up-to-date financial records and filing systems.

Provide administrative assistance to the accounting team, such as handling phone calls, scheduling meetings, and managing emails.

Assist in the preparation of financial reports and documents as required.

Assist in maintaining good working relationships with vendors and suppliers.

Verify invoices, confirm receipt of goods or services, and ensure timely payment processing.

Update and create (for new processes) Standard Operating Procedures for all Accounting related functions and procedures.

Administration of Tax Exempt jobs, paperwork obtained and owner paid materials.

Update all National Accounts/Client Software Annually or as needed.

Administration of CAM Billings and Reimbursement of costs for Leases for RWI.

Miscellaneous filing and scanning of documents.

Cross Train in AP, AR & other accounting positions to provide support and assistance when needed.

File monthly or quarterly Sales Tax reports for each state and reconcile the general ledger account.

Update, Renew, Obtain State, City & County License as needed.

Update and file Annual Reports for each state.

Renew RWI AL GC License.

Enter and reconcile monthly credit card statements.

Monitor and track company expenses, ensuring they align with approved budgets.

Report any anomalies or discrepancies to the Accounting Manager.

Support Month-end and Year-end Closing:

Update/communicate Insurance broker with new hire driver license to add to policy or terminations to be removed from the policy.

Request & collect Driver License & COI’s from employees annually and report any infractions to Insurance company as needed.

Request & collect annual Beneficiary designations for Profit Share & Life insurance policies.

Update LTD & STD Insurance company with any changes in employee salaries.

Update E-Verify & review changes and exceptions for new hire employees.

Gather & create new hire employee files.

Complete termination paperwork & cancellation of benefits.

Coordinate and send all End of Year STD & LTD W2’s & reporting.

Setup & participate in Profit Share meetings for new participants into Profit Share

Distribute Profit Share notices, changes, annual statements to employee participants.

New Employee Set up – obtain cell phone, Ipad, Desktop or Laptop as needed, set up Citrix, Timberscan, Timberline & Procore credentials.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour
