General Responsibilities: The ideal candidate will have working knowledge and proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Power Point, and internet-based programs. Applicant must be self-motivated, detail oriented, a team player, and can prioritize multiple job tasks quickly and accurately. Excellent communication, telephone, and customer service skills required.
Tasks and Duties:
Duties include, but are not limited to:
Assist in the receiving, stocking, and organizing incoming inventory.
Inventory control and management of inventory for service and rebuild shops.
Assist with weekly cycle counts and reconciliation.
Check incoming freight for quality and quantity – inspect for damage.
Load and unload trucks and/or customer vehicles; forklift operation required.
Prepare outbound freight to customers and branches.
Track shipments; provide order status.
Support branch production and service by pulling parts when needed.
Manage SDS safety listings.
Coordinate warranty parts with the Corporate Warranty Administrator.
Get quotes and process freight orders.
Work special projects as tasked.
Identify any Branch shipping needs and convey to management.
Report daily on operations to the Warehouse and Logistics Manager.
Must be fluent and literate in the English language.
Reading: Ability to read and interpret documents, such as BOM, SDS, procedures, parts manuals and invoices.
Verbal: Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from employees and customers. Understand the competition among vendors and the sensitivity of technical information. Be able to assure customers that shipping needs are met in a timely manner.
Writing: Need to provide customers, vendors, and co-workers with timely, concise and accurate communications.
Organization: Must be able to manage several tasks simultaneously and efficiently. Must be detail-oriented and ensure that all receipts are tagged and labeled for inventory control.
Reasoning Ability: Must have the ability to solve practical problems while dealing with a variety of situations. Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral or schedule format.
Environmental Working Conditions: Work at an assigned workstation plus be active on the shop floor and warehouse.
