Summary:

As the Plant Controller, you'll play a pivotal role in managing daily finance operations and guiding a dedicated team to success. Your responsibilities will encompass various critical areas, including cash management, project reporting, financial statement preparation, and ensuring compliance with tax regulations. With your expertise, you'll foster a culture of efficiency and accountability, contributing to the employer's continued success and growth.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee disbursement activities, ensuring accurate processing of accounts payable, purchase orders, petty cash, and employee expense reports.
  • Serve as a liaison with auditors and regulatory bodies, driving compliance and system enhancements.
  • Assure corporate income tax compliance, taking advantage of favorable tax codes.
  • Lead special projects and compile insightful reports to support strategic decision-making.
  • Respond to Director of Finance with accurate and timely work to facilitate financial needs.
  • Establish and maintain robust systems and controls to safeguard data integrity and enhance company value.
  • Manage and mentor a team of finance professionals, fostering their growth and development.
  • Retain final say in the proper classification of purchases as assets or expenses.
  • Lead Treasury management, including budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management.
  • Oversee general accounting processes, including month-end close and financial statement preparation.

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in business with a major in Accounting.
  • Eight years of hands-on experience in cash management, financial reporting, and budgeting.
  • Demonstrated success in managing complex financial systems and processes, including experience with high-volume transactions and large-scale budgeting.
  • Proven leadership skills with a focus on team management and development.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, with advanced Excel skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to compliance and safety.
  • Occasional travel may be required
