Position Summary: 

The Resort Maintenance Engineer will be responsible for maintaining the resort buildings, equipment and grounds with minimum disruption to guests and resort operations.

Qualifications: 

• High school diploma/GED or trade school in related field preferred.
• Previous engineer/maintenance experience or training required.
• Ability to obtain and/or maintain any government required licenses, certificates, or permits if needed.
• Must be available to work varying shifts, including evenings, nights and weekends.

Requirements

 Core Responsibilities: 

• Perform routine maintenance tasks throughout the hotel, restaurants, game rooms and public space, including plumbing, repairs, painting and fixing electrical issues.
• Respond to guest reports of problems with their rooms or common areas, such as malfunctioning HVAC systems or broken furniture.
• Inspection and maintain resort equipment to ensure safety and efficiency, including boilers, heating and cooling systems, and kitchen appliances.
• Oversee the resort’s exterior maintenance including snow removal and exterior lighting.
• Coordinate with other departments to identify and address maintenance needs.
• Manage the resort’s waste disposal systems, including regular checks and maintenance of sewage and drainage systems.
• Have thorough knowledge of emergency procedures.
• Conduct periodic safety inspections of all resort facilities, including fire alarms, extinguishers, and emergency exits to comply with local regulations and ensure guest safety.
• Practice safe work habits, wear protective safety equipment and comply with MSDS and OSHA standards.
• Ensure overall guest satisfaction.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Physical Requirements: Position requires sitting, hand-eye coordination, stooping, kneeling, and walking/standing for multiple hours in succession. This position may on occasion require lifting, carrying, pulling, or pushing of up to approximately 21-50 pounds.
