The Branch Manager position is a vital role within our organization, reporting directly to the Director of Truck Centers. As a Branch Manager, you will be required to work both on the floor and in the office during your assigned shift. Essential skills to develop and maintain include understanding and guiding mechanics, service writers, and customers. Additionally, you'll be expected to cover any open shifts that cannot be covered, and work nights and weekends as necessary to ensure proper oversight and coverage of the shop.
Our Branch Managers are responsible for promoting sales growth, conducting training, exhibiting and coaching outstanding customer service, demonstrating a high sense of urgency, maintaining a clean and safe facility, and always doing what's right for our employees. You will be expected to enforce all company policies, monitor tech efficiency/productivity to correct deficiencies as needed, and manage your payroll budget. This will include ensuring you are staffed accordingly per the needs of the shop and seasonal traffic, limiting overtime.
Other responsibilities of the Branch Manager position include working with the Breakdown Department to assist with 24/7 coverage on road service, parts inventory and ordering, purchasing inventory, and hitting and tracking revenue and profitability goals outlined in monthly KPIs. You'll also be expected to coordinate with vendors for quarterly training for technicians, assist the recruiter with staffing all aspects of the shop's needs, and be the liaison between corporate headquarters and local staff.
The Branch Manager position requires a cohesive team while retaining staff and improving the team's overall performance. You'll be expected to create a positive work environment and make recommendations on parts inventory/tire inventory and filter trends. Dress code and company image must be held and displayed in the highest regard and with respect.
This role is an on-site full-time managerial/leadership position. Critical thinking and repair management are necessary skills, requiring an understanding of all repairs and how they can be balanced in a timely fashion. You must maintain an open and timely communication with technicians, drivers, and owners, to include any changes to the repair that might arise. Updating the authorization tab in each WO is required on ALL repair orders.
