Rocky Mountain Infectious Disease Specialists, P.C. is Hiring a Medical Front Office Receptionist Near Aurora, CO

Job description

We are looking for a Medical Front Office Receptionist with at least 1-2 years' experience in a medical setting to help with the daily front desk operations of the company. This position will be at our Aurora Hospital location. The ideal candidate will be a hard-working reliable professional who is able to undertake a variety of front office tasks outlined below.

Responsibilities

  • Greet patients when they arrive in the office and checks them in for their appointments
  • Request patients complete new-patient paperwork and copy ID and insurance cards
  • Working in an EMR and Scheduling Software program: Collects co-pays, posts payments, and open/close batches daily and prepares bank deposit slips (cash & check). Provide Billing Manager with copy of daily payment log, month and balance reports.
  • Handle phone calls and route calls to the appropriate departments.
  • Sort and distribute communications in a timely manner
  • Sorting and distributing mail, when necessary
  • Handle referrals from referring physician’s offices and processes them accordingly
  • Prints / Prepares daily clinic schedules
  • Daily confirmation calls
  • Create and update records ensuring accuracy and validity of information
  • Monitor level of supplies and handle shortages
  • Ensure compliance with established policies
  • Maintain productive relationships with physicians, patients and colleagues

Skills

  • Experience in a front-office medical setting working with in an Electronic Medical Record software system (EMR)
  • Knowledge of HIPAA and privacy policies
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Analytical abilities and aptitude in problem-solving
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency in medical practice scheduling software and triage of telephones.
  • Flexibility to be located at and travel between clinic locations if needed.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
