Position Purpose
The Chief Operations Officer (COO) is responsible for providing leadership for a comprehensive array of RMHS services and programs. The COO will lead efforts to enhance organizational effectiveness and have operational responsibility for RMHS programs including strategic program development and innovation, data-driven decision making, team-building and talent-development, and program evaluation: The COO will provide leadership and management of a team of department directors and/or program directors overseeing programs and services to children and adults with intellectual & developmental disabilities, behavioral health and/or substance use disorders, and persons experiencing homelessness.
The COO will promote and communicate the organization’s philosophy, mission, and values, provide leadership to the RMHS strategic planning process and will implement new programmatic and strategic initiatives, linking the strategy to operating plans. The COO will evaluate the services RMHS offers, shift resources away from programs with low demand and develop new programs as needs emerge.
As a key member of the executive team, the COO is the connector between the program staff and the executive team, collaborates closely with other organizational leaders including the CEO/ED, CFO and CIO and is responsible for developing, implementing, and managing the program aspects of the annual budget for the programs noted above. The COO is responsible for ensuring that RMHS’ services comply with all federal, state, funding, and city regulations, certifications, and licensing requirements.
The COO is a point of connection between the external environment and the CEO/ED and will build external relationships, serve as liaison to RMHS’s partners; and keep the RMHS Board of Directors abreast of programmatic strategies and challenges

Driving Category - Requirements
Driving Category B:
Employees who may drive RMHS or personal vehicles for business purposes. Category B employees may transport other employees but will not transport RMHS clients.
Valid driver’s license
Proof of motor vehicle insurance
Personal vehicle in good operating condition for use during work, including transporting individuals
No major violations in the past three years.
No more than two moving violations in the past three years
Ability to meet and maintain agency driving requirements and operate agency vehicles
Drivers must upload proof of ongoing auto insurance every 6 months into Paycom/Relias.
