Rocky Mountain Children's Health Foundation is Hiring a Development Coordinator Near Arvada, CO

What this position is all about:

Our Development Coordinator plays a vital role in supporting our fundraising efforts by managing and maintaining our donor database. This role offers the chance to work at the intersection of data management and philanthropy, allowing you to utilize your technical skills while contributing to a meaningful cause.

We are looking for someone who is highly motivated, passionate about children and families, and particularly skilled in database work. This person will be an integral part of our development team and will be responsible for critical fundraising support, including gift entry and acknowledgment, maintaining accurate donor records, prospect identification, reporting, and more. This is a part-time position that will be part of our Development team, reporting to our Director of Development.

Through our work both directly with families and through medical professionals, we provide much-needed relief and comfort for sick children and infants. Whether it’s a newborn in need of donor human milk to thrive, a child with a serious illness looking for the companionship of a furry friend, or a family who needs to buy gas to visit their child in the hospital, we are there for them when and how they need it most.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain database of financial donors in Raiser’s Edge (REnxt) / Blackbaud
  • Complete accurate gift entry in Raiser’s Edge; draft and send timely acknowledgement letters to donors.
  • Provide necessary reports to accounting and work with finance to reconcile gift and pledges each month.
  • Provide mailing lists from database for mailing of newsletters, direct mail appeals, event invitations, solicitations and more as needed; contribute to segmentation strategy for mailing lists.
  • Facilitate and support database maintenance for annual giving programs, including but not limited to end-of-year campaign, CO Gives Day, monthly donor campaign, employee and workplace giving, vehicle donations, and tribute gifts.
  • Pull stewardship and prospecting lists from database to support fundraising efforts.
  • Research current and prospective donors to support identification, cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship for annual fund, mid-level, major planned giving, and outreach efforts.
  • Demonstrate thoughtfulness and attention to donors year-round through personalized contact as appropriate.
  • Assist with special events efforts as they relate to gift entry, acknowledgment, registration reporting and analysis. Represent RMCHF at assigned events.
  • Keep informed of developments in philanthropy/fund development in the nonprofit sector.
  • Coordinate with our programs team to obtain impact reports and other data for use in grant applications and reports.
  • Other duties as assigned.

What we’re looking for:

  • At least two years of development experience, specifically in data management.
  • Proficiency in Blackbaud’s Raiser’s Edge (queries, imports/export, reports, batch, etc), RE NXT, Online Express, and Event and Tribute modules.
  • Experience and knowledge in monthly gift reconciliation and reporting to finance.
  • Knowledge of gift acceptance requirements and guidelines (pledges, donor-advised funds, tax- deductibility and receipt amounts, etc).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Word and Excel.
  • Strong written and verbal skills.
  • Attention to detail and thoroughness in completing projects and assigned duties.
  • The ability to work well both independently and collaboratively with other team members, managing multiple projects and priorities.
