Rocky Mountain Cancer Centers is Hiring an Advanced Practice Practitioner (Medical Oncology) Near Aurora, CO

Rocky Mountain Cancer Centers, Colorado's largest and most comprehensive provider of cancer care has an exciting opportunity for a Part-Time Advanced Practice Practitioner (20 hours) in our SE Division. This position may work at our Aurora, Centennial, Littleton or Swedish (Englewood) clinic.

Salary Range:

$100,000-$130,000

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates care for patients.
- Initiates and documents appropriate interventions; evaluates and records patient/family response and prescribes therapies as indicated.
- Performs procedures and /mentors trains other providers
- Assesses patient/family needs and provides education.
- Promotes wellness and recommends community resources to meet patient and family needs.

-Consistently incorporates evidence-based research into clinical practice.

- In-depth knowledge of reimbursement procedures and documentation requirements.

- Completes patient charge capture and medical record documentation in a timely fashion.

- Often provides case management for patients and their families.

- Often serves as a resource for nursing staff by providing information being studied in clinical trials.

- Provides palliative care for the patient and their families as needed.

- As subject matter expert, promotes/provides staff education

- Serves as subject matter expert to the community, providing education and resources as needed

- Other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Nurse Practitioner

Masters of Science in Nursing (MSN) from an accredited nursing school and successful completion of a Nurse Practitioner program. This position typically requires a minimum of 1 year of experience as a practicing Nurse Practitioner, preferably in the chosen specialty. RN state licensure and current registration with the State Board of Nursing in practicing state. Current state licensure as a Nurse Practitioner. AOCNP preferred. Current basic life support (BLS)/CPR certification required.

OR

Physician Assistant

Successful completion of an accredited Physician Assistant program. Current NCCPA (National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants) certification. This position typically requires a minimum of 1 year of experience as a practicing Physician Assistant, preferably in the chosen specialty. Current state license as a Physician Assistant in practicing state. Current basic life support (BLS)/CPR certification required.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Requires full range of body motion including handling and lifting patients, manual and finger dexterity, and eye-hand coordination. Requires the ability to bend, stoop, twist; assist patients in moving; assist patients in arising from exam table or bed; push wheelchair patients; assist patients in arising from and returning to wheelchair. Requires standing and walking for extensive periods of time. Occasionally lifts and carries items weighing up to 40 lbs. Requires corrected vision and hearing to normal range.
