Rocky Gap is Hiring an ENVIRONMENTAL SERVICES SUPERVISOR Near Flintstone, MD
- Ensures all policies and procedures are adhered to in the Environmental Services Department on assigned shift.
- Ensures that all cleaning materials, chemicals, and equipment are used in accordance with manufacturer’s instructions.
- Maintains strict adherence to all OSHA safety rules and regulations.
- Supervises environmental services staff activities throughout the casino to ensure that approved standards of cleanliness are met.
- Makes recommendations and suggestions to hire, promote, evaluate, reward, discipline and discharge of environmental services employees.
- Advises management of necessary repairs and replacements in assigned areas and is accountable for cleanliness and overall condition of the public areas, restrooms and offices.
- Interacts with guests and other casino department in a professional and courteous manner.
- Checks to make sure employees have proper supplies and equipment to complete the job.
- Trains employees in the proper cleaning techniques
- Trains employees in the proper use of chemicals. Makes sure all bottles are labeled properly and ensures chemical bottles have proper chemical labels.
- Maintains all work areas and ensures environmental services equipment is free of safety violations. Reports any hazardous conditions or broken equipment immediately to shift manager.
- Ensures that all employees comply with established safety precautions when using equipment and supplies.
Directly supervises all Environmental Services Engineers on a shift.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
High school diploma or equivalent required with two to three years experience in housekeeping. Supervisory experience preferred.
Strong organizational and interpersonal skills required.
