Essential Duties and Responsibilities of the Accounts Payable Accountant:
- Reviews and exports invoices, match invoices, process payments, and cut checks
- Verifies invoices have accurate allocation before export.
- Issues checks
- Monitors accounts, invoices and vendor payments to clarify any unusual items or prices.
- Responds to vendor inquiries.
- Reconciles vendor statements, researches and corrects discrepancies.
- Assist with the preparation of journal entries and reconciliations
Preferred Qualifications for the Accounts Payable Accountant:
- Self-starter, 2-3 years of accounts payable
- Accounting experience a plus
