Rockville Dental is Hiring a Dental Assistant Near Rockville, MD

Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Dental Assistant to join our team. As a Dental Assistant, you will work closely with the dentist and dental hygienist to provide quality oral healthcare to our patients. Your role will involve assisting with various dental procedures and ensuring a comfortable and efficient experience for our patients.

Responsibilities:
- Prepare treatment rooms for patient examinations and procedures
- Sterilize and disinfect instruments and equipment
- Assist the dentist during dental procedures
- Take dental radiographs (x-rays). Xray certification is required.
- Provide post-operative instructions to patients
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation
- Perform basic laboratory tasks such as pouring models and trimming diagnostic casts
- Schedule patient appointments and manage patient flow
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques
- Follow all safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment

Experience:
- Previous experience as a Dental Assistant is a must.
- Knowledge of aseptic technique and infection control protocols
- Familiarity with CAD (Computer-Aided Design) software for dental restorations is a plus
- Proficient in medical documentation, including knowledge of HIPAA regulations
- Strong assisting skills, including chairside assisting, instrument passing, and four-handed dentistry techniques
- Understanding of medical terminology related to dentistry
- Ability to take accurate vital signs, such as blood pressure and pulse rate
- Familiarity with medical imaging techniques, such as intraoral and extraoral radiography
- Knowledge of medical coding for insurance billing purposes is beneficial
- Experience using Eaglesoft.
