    PURPOSE OF THE POSITION: The primary focus of this position is the support and maintenance of BusinessPLUS and its various modules in addition to other systems and metrics supported by the Information Services team. This individual serves as a technical point-of-contact for assigned functional areas and assists district departments by ensuring data integrity, auditing of user security roles, testing of system changes, data extraction and submission related to FOIA requests, creating and maintaining workflow routing, troubleshooting and escalation of system issues, web form support, report development and analyzing data flows for process improvement opportunities..
    SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: None
    DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.     • Ensures that all actions are in concert with the Board policies as well as the mission statement, beliefs, objectives and parameters found in the Board’s strategic plan.
    • Participates in job training and professional growth opportunities in order to enhance ability to perform the essential functions of the job.
    • Performs other related duties as assigned for the purpose of ensuring an efficient and effective work environment.
    • System Maintenance
    • Assist in the review, testing, and implementation of BusinessPLUS/Financial system.
    • Collaborate with functional and technical staff to coordinate application of upgrades, patches, or fixes.
    • Maintain BusinessPLUS/Financial system tables, system configuration and documenting process and results.
    • Works collaboratively with district and accountability departments on various metrics and data collection.
    • Confirm accuracy and integrity of all data entered, maintain data in BusinessPLUS/Financial systems and databases to assure information is available on a timely basis.
    • Perform group data updates, exports, imports, clean-ups, and researches/reports on any data discrepancies.
    • Act as primary contact for assigned function with outside organizations or other departments; respond to technical administrative questions and ensure necessary follow up.
    • Production Support/Help Desk
      • Provide support, research, and resolution to BusinessPLUS/Financial system problems, unexpected results or process flaws
      • Perform scheduled activities; recommend solutions or alternate methods to meet requirements
      • Provide help desk support to system end users
      • Conduct data analysis as directed
      • Respond verbally or in writing to inquiries, complaints or problems providing information requiring comprehensive knowledge of BusinessPLUS/Financial systems
      • Provide assistance and supports others on difficult assignments and/or problems as directed
    • Projects/Process Improvement
      • Recommend process/customer service improvements, innovative solutions, procedural changes and/or major variations from established procedures that must be approved by appropriate leadership prior to implementation
      • Serve as a key liaison with third parties and other stakeholders (e.g. payroll, purchasing, human resources, etc.)
      • Use project management skills in managing projects
      • May provide overall project management for a given BusinessPLUS/Financial systems initiative
      • Coordinate, schedule and track progress of specialized work projects or departmental functions
      • Prepare or direct preparation of manuals, agendas, and correspondence with all supporting documentation, requiring application of specialized knowledge of the assigned function
    • Reports/Queries
      • Write, maintain and support a variety of reports or queries utilizing appropriate reporting tools
      • Assist in development of standard reports for ongoing customer needs
      • Help maintain data integrity in systems by running queries and analyzing data
      • Prepare reports, graphs, charts and statistics in support of district operations
      • Deliver routine daily/weekly/monthly reporting and responds to basic to advanced ad hoc data requests
    • Training
      • Develop user procedures, guidelines and documentation
      • Train users on new processes/functionality
      • Train new system users
    • Maintain awareness of current trends with a focus on product and service development, delivery and support, and applying key technologies.
    • Examine trends in information systems training, materials and techniques. Through classes, reading, CBTs or other mechanisms, continuously increase BusinessPLUS/Financial systems knowledge and application/tools knowledge.
    • Participate in user group meetings/conferences.
    • Provide administrative support such as preparing and composing confidential correspondence, and receiving and screening telephone calls.
    • Execute and coordinates office operations such as office meetings, conferences, workshops, appointments, and/or special events as related to the Information Systems Analyst role.
    QUALIFICATIONS:
    Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field or equivalent work experience.
    KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
    One to two years of project management experience. Understanding of financial processes and data. Working knowledge of systems, reporting functions, and data analysis. Preferred experience with BusinessPLUS or other comparable ERP applications. Effective organizational and interpersonal skills including written and verbal communication skills. Previous exposure to project-related activities through active participation in system-related projects.
    WORKING CONDITIONS:
    Moderate in-district travel as well as intermittent in-state and out-of-state travel. Intermittent prolonged and irregular hours of work.
