SUMMARY
As a Nuclear Medicine Technologist, you play an important part in high quality nuclear medicine procedures needed to deliver quality care to our patients.
Rochester Regional Health's Imaging and Radiology Team is lead by subspecialty and board-certified radiologists, nurses, and technologists providing the highest quality diagnostic and treatment imaging services to the Western, Central, and Finger Lakes New York communities. We pride ourselves on providing the most advanced imaging and radiology services that guide how treatment plans and care decisions are made throughout our region.
STATUS: Full Time
LOCATION: Unity Hospital
DEPARTMENT: Imaging
SCHEDULE: Monday - Friday; Days. Rotating call overnight, weekends, and holidays.
ATTRIBUTES
Bachelors degree in Nuclear Medicine or completion of certification program required.
Two (2) years of experience preferred
ARRT and/or NMTCB Certification within three (3) months of hire
Certificate of Registration as a Radiologic Technologist limited to the practice of Nuclear Medicine within six (6) months of hire
RESPONSIBILITIES
Equipment Operation. Perform a variety of diagnostic exams and quality assurance procedures; ensures that nuclear imaging equipment is in optimal working condition.
Patient Care. Maintain accountability for timely and proper service to patients throughout the area; educate patients regarding their procedure and maintain a safe, comfortable and supportive environment for the patient throughout the exam
EDUCATION:
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: M - Medium Work - Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects; Requires frequent walking, standing or squatting.
