DURATION OF PROGRAM: Session I: June 14-30, Session II: July 12-28
WORK DAYS: Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays
WORK HOURS: Elementary Programs: 8:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.; Riverside 8:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m.; Middle and High School programs: 9:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m.
LOCATIONS: Bamber Valley, Elton Hills, Franklin, Gage, Gibbs, Jefferson, Riverside and Sunset Terrace Elementary Schools; John Adams, Kellogg, and Willow Creek Middle Schools; Mayo High and RALC
SALARY: $17.50 / hour or current wage, whichever is higher

belief that all children can learn at high levels when supported appropriately by the adults around them. RPS staff in positions like paraprofessionals are candidates for this role. Here are a few traits of a great Health Aide:
- Well versed in school health services operations
- Enjoys working with students, especially those needing support
- Sees and appreciates the assets and strengths all students bring with them
- Supports efforts to celebrate student identity to counter the impact of unchecked bias in the world around them
- Builds effective relationships with students to support wellness and skill development
- Works well in teams to support student learning experiences
- Notices needs among students and takes initiative to support them
- Comfortable talking with parents and other caregivers on behalf of students
Typical Duties:Every day brings a little something different, but here are the typical duties of a Health Aide:- Assist Summer of Discovery Nursing Lead with organization and maintenance of students’ school health records and data
- Provide daily medical care for students in accordance with District policy and procedures and in compliance with student health plans.
- Administer first aid and medications to students under the direction of the Summer of Discovery Nursing Lead
- Provide information and support for staff to ensure effective health office services for students as directed by the Nursing Lead
- Provide effective organization and service of school health office
- Performs other duties within the level of responsibility of position as assigned by Health Services Coordinator and Summer of Discovery Nursing Lead
Qualifications:- Minimum requirement; 48 college semester credits and/or a two-year degree from an accredited college or university. Please include official transcript(s) with application.
- High School diploma or GED
- CPR and first aid certificate required
- Computer skills in data entry and data management required
- Previous successful work in Summer of Discovery a plus
