    REPORTS TO: Executive Director of Community Education and Partnerships
    WORK YEAR: Full-time, 260 days; 8 hours per day; Approx. 8:00 a.m. - 4:45 p.m.
    CLASSIFICATION: Off-Schedule - Exempt, C-4-2
    2022 SALARY RANGE: $57,708 to $62,594, depending on qualifications with advancement to $80,792 (prorated based on hire date)
    This position is responsible for supporting the needs of students and families experiencing homelessness and will work with school sites, the district and the community to identify strengths and areas of growth in student support and achievement, programming, and professional development. The position will ensure the delivery of mandated services to facilitate student attendance and access to appropriate education. Position assesses students and families; works as a team member to develop intervention strategies; oversees case management; monitors student progress; submits billing documents; and makes referrals to internal and external agencies and staff. Position acts as a resource to school staff.
    Job Summary:
    • Work directly with students on the school site to support academic, housing, and basic needs.
    • Plan and conduct parent involvement meetings specifically focusing on our families and students experiencing homelessness.
    • Collaborate in data review with district staff
    • Assist in supervision of Heading Home, Homework Starts with Home, Youth Housing staff and grants.
    • Collaboration with parents and youth to address concerns and build capacity.
    • Facilitate communication between students, parents, and school staff to ensure student achievement.
    • Act as a consultant to teachers, administrators and other staff regarding students experiencing homelessness
    • Serve as a bridge between the schools and families and advocate for students experiencing homelessness
    • Serve as a resource for principals to develop supports for students experiencing homelessness
    • Establish and develop strong community relationships to provide our students and families with community resources.
    • Monitor students’ academic progress and work with other building staff to develop academic success plans for students.
    • Participate in facilitating district-wide staff development trainings and building-wide staff development trainings.
    • Attending building staff and PLC meetings and meetings involving students as requested.
    • Act as a point of contact for students in Foster Care and advocate for Olmsted County.
    • Other tasks as assigned that further our efforts toward racial equity and student achievement.
    Experience and Minimum Qualifications:
    • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university preferred
    • Basic understanding of school district operations and community resources
    • Experience working with students and families experiencing homelessness preferred
    • Strong skills in areas of organization, written and verbal communication, collaboration and relationship building; in-person and virtually
    • Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks
    • Ability to work collaboratively with staff, students, parents and community members
    • Advanced technology skills, including Google suite, word processing, spreadsheet, database software
    • Excellent organizational skills, ability to prioritize, work under pressure, work with frequent interruptions, and work independently
    • Knowledge of and experience working with underrepresented populations
    • Knowledge of Federal and State Laws: Develop and maintain a working knowledge of McKinney-Vento Legislation, Fostering Connections, and ESEA
