Hours: 2nd shift, 3pm to Midnight (negotiable) Monday -Friday
Job Description:
Diesel mechanics are responsible for the maintenance and repair of diesel-powered Semis. Their duties include running diagnostic tests on vehicles, testdriving vehicles to gauge performance, and maintaining detailed records of the vehicles they have serviced.
Essential functions

- Diagnosing and repairing
- Performs guidance on triage to determine best solutions for repair
- Perform general and detailed repair and installations of all trucks, engines, and components
- Operate diagnostic test equipment proficiently
Competencies
- Strong attention to detail
- Previous experience performing maintenance on heavy duty diesel trucks
- ASE Certification in PM, Brakes, A/C, Electrical, Electronics and/or ASE Master Mechanic Preferred.
- Cummins, CAT, Freightliners, Peterbilt training preferred.
- Trailer repair history preferred
- High school diploma/GED required.
- Valid driver’s license, CDL preferred
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Works well independently and with others
- Excellent communication skills
- Excellent Time Management skills
Work Environment
- Shop, indoor
Physical demands
- Must be able to stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, and stand
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
Travel required
- None
Required education and experience
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Valid Driver’s License (CDL Preferred)
- Previous experience as a technician working on heavy duty diesel trucks
Preferred education and experience
- ASE Certification in PM, Brakes, A/C, Electrical, Electronics and/or ASE Master Mechanic Preferred
- Cummins, CAT, Freightliner, Peterbilt training preferred
- Trailer repair history preferred

- Must be able to work in a team environment and be self-motivated to complete tasks.
