Rochester Advanced Ultrasound is Hiring a Diagnostic Medical Sonographer/Ultrasound Near Rochester, NY

This is a part-time position with possibility of full time. The opportunity would be Tuesday-Thursday with rotating Fridays. This is a small, private office location off East Henrietta Road with one other full time technician who does ultrasound clinics on the previously stated days. The sonographer who takes on this role would be covering the office during the time of the clinics with possible overlap in the afternoon or clinic coverage on days where the other technician would be off. Duties:
- Perform diagnostic ultrasound examinations on patients
- Operate ultrasound equipment to produce and record images of the body for diagnostic purposes
- Review patient medical history and explain procedures to patients
- Position patients and select appropriate transducer for imaging
- Apply aseptic technique and ensure patient safety during procedures
- Analyze images and data to ensure high-quality diagnostic information is provided to the healthcare team
- Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to interpret and communicate results

-Possibly cover ultrasound 3-4 hour clinics at local doctor offices when necessary (Paid travel with company car)

-Cover overlap at the office when necessary

Requirements:
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography or related field
- Certification in Sonography from an accredited program
- Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology
- Proficiency in performing a variety of ultrasound scans, including abdominal, obstetric, gynecologic, vascular, and musculoskeletal
- Familiarity with medical imaging equipment and technology
- Strong attention to detail and ability to accurately interpret images for diagnostic evaluation
- Excellent communication skills to interact with patients and healthcare professionals
