Job Overview

We are currently seeking a Training and Development Specialist to join our vibrant team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in the organization by cultivating employee skills, contributing to employee development, and promoting positive job growth.

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Collaborate with leadership to evaluate training and development needs within the organization.
  • Support cross-departmental initiatives and partnerships to reduce training gaps and build consistency.
  • Utilize the Learning Management System software to help develop, deliver and track employe training.
  • Create, develop, and implement training for both in person and online learning modules that align with company values and optimize the employee experience.
  • Review and research market trends and practices to make recommendations and incorporate findings into training and development materials; ensure training is in compliance with legislation and regulations.
  • Provide leadership training that inspires our team to be servant leaders; building strong teams with members that are personally and professionally successful.
  • Examines behavioral assessments to determine an individual's patterns of behavior, thoughts, emotions, and motivations; assess strengths and weaknesses.
  • Conduct and deliver training using a variety of instructional techniques.
  • Evaluate effectiveness of training and development programs; make changes based on the needs of the business; provide actionable feedback to continually improve performance and efficiency.
  • Create and update development programs and career paths to assure company and employee growth; provide career development support.
  • Schedule training for new and existing employees.
  • Monitor budget and ensure the organization remains within its spending limitations for professional development.
  • Create a positive company culture centered around Robinsons values and expectations with the goal of retaining and fostering talent.
  • Develop and maintain a training matrix for each department in the organization to ensure workforce competence in alignment with organizational objectives.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

  • 5 years' experience in a similar training and development role required.
  • Bachelor's degree in human resources or related field preferred.
  • Critical thinking skills to assess the effectiveness of instructional needs and materials.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively demonstrating flexibility and adaptability.
  • Excellent attention to detail and critical thinking skills, with a commitment to producing high-quality work.
  • Strong decision-making skills to determine which courses and materials meet the needs of the employees and organization.
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to work well with others; ability to present materials and training courses effectively.
  • Previous behavioral assessment experience preferred; desire to learn required.
  • Computer literacy-must feel comfortable navigating different programs and software.
  • Dedication to maintaining a safe and secure work environment.
