Roberts Ophthalmology Group is Hiring a Front Office Receptionist Near Glendale, CA

On-site Responsibilities
  • Answer phones professionally, promptly, and with a positive attitude.
  • Produce the daily patient schedule.
  • Schedule patient appointments via phone requests, web forms, walk-ins, family member referrals, fax or email authorizations, and checking out after patient visits.
  • Request authorizations for patient visits.
  • Verify current insurance prior to patient’s appointment.
  • Check-in patients including collecting co-payments, patient insurance information and ID cards. Provide patient with up-to-date intake forms.
  • Check patient vitals and room the patient before seeing the provider.
  • Perform ancillary tests as needed.
  • Responsible for scanning patient documents into the practice management system and filing patient charts post-visit.
  • Managing all fax requests which may include medication refills, prior authorizations, and other requests.
  • Manages patient reminders by generating patient lists, verifying insurance, and notifying patients to. schedule an appointment by phone and by letters.
  • Sends progress notes to referring physicians after patient visit.
  • Assists with practice marketing and patient or physician outreach.
  • Contributes to social media presence and outreach.
  • Cleans the front office and assists in maintaining a clean and tidy patient waiting room, exam rooms, etc.
  • Manages special projects or initiatives as assigned by Office Manager or physicians.
Required Qualifications
  • High School Diploma
  • Bilingual English and Spanish.
  • Front office skills including word processing, creating forms, using office equipment.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and cheerful disposition towards patients in phone communications and in-person visits.

  • Strong work ethic and excellent attention to detail
  • Pro-active and self-motivated
  • Sincere desire to provide patients with exceptional service
  • Effective time management and multi-tasking
  • Experienced with social media and general marketing
  • Bilingual English and Armenian
