Only candidates residing within a commutable distance to Gig Harbor, WA will be considered**Robert Half is currently working with a dynamic client looking for an experienced Tax Professional. They will work with financial and income tax statements, making sure that they comply with tax laws by filing their federal and state tax returns. This position allows for a primarily remote schedule, but will require the ability to easily commute into Gig Harbor, WA to meet clients. Then this may be the role for you!Your responsibilities:- Oversee tax preparation work that is outsourced- Prepare and review individual and entity tax returns (1040, 1041,1065, 1120 & 1120S)- Maintain good industry knowledge by participating in educational opportunities, participating in professional organizations, keeping up with professional networks and reading professional publications- Prepare tax provisions schedules, returns, payments, reports and maintain a company's tax database- Put together accurate quarterly and annual tax reports- Make sure that clients comply with federal, state and local tax regulations- Identify legal tax savings and recommend ways to improve profits- Provide management with information regarding the impact of tax liabilities and corporate strategies or new tax laws- Develop solutions for complicated tax issues or errors from incorrect tax filingsSalary and Benefits Information:The base salary range for this position is $75,000-$95,000. This role will be full-time over the busy tax seasons, and will be part-time flexible in the off seasons. There is additional bonus potential that is paid bi-annually in April and October. Benefits included with this position include two weeks of paid vacation and 6 paid holidays, along with professional development and travel expenses paid by the company.
