Description
We are looking for a Systems Engineer to join our team in Keene, New Hampshire, United States. The successful candidate will primarily be involved with the wholesale distribution of durable goods industry. This role offers a short term contract employment opportunity.
Responsibilities:
Understanding and utilization of storage solutions such as object and block level, and Hyper Converged Infrastructure.
Proficient knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
Demonstrate expert knowledge of various operating systems, Windows, Linux (Red Hat, Centos), Unix (AIX), and Hypervisors (VMware, KVM, Hyper-V).
Experience with Active Directory infrastructure, including domain controllers, forests, and trusts.
Experience with Group Policy Objects (GPOs) to enforce security policies and standardize system configurations.
Experience with Infrastructure automation (Infrastructure as code).
Familiarity with inventory management software like WMS (Warehouse Management System).
Process customer credit applications accurately and efficiently.
Maintain accurate customer credit records.
Requirements
Must possess a minimum of 5 years of experience as a Systems Engineer within the Wholesale Distribution industry
Proficiency in Converged Infrastructure is required
Demonstrable experience with cloud services including Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure, and Google Cloud Platform is essential
Comprehensive knowledge of operating systems such as Microsoft Windows, Linux, Red Hat, CentOS, and UNIX is a prerequisite
Familiarity with Hypervisor technologies including VMware and KVM is needed
Should have experience with Active Directory and GPO - Group Policy Objects
Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code is crucial
Must have experience in Warehouse Management systems
A strong understanding of system engineering concepts, principles, and theories is required
Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills are necessary
Must have strong documentation skills and attention to detail
The ability to work well in a team environment and independently when necessary is a must
Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential
Must be able to manage multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously
A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred.
