Robert Half is seeking a Systems Administrator I, II, or IIIPosition is onsite in Las Cruces, New Mexico. Local applicants preferredMay be a remote option for Systems Administrator on a consulting basis but local/onsite is preferred.Provides technical and service-related support on a range of technologies in one or more of the following information technology areas: system administration, network support, operating system support, systems design and/or implementation, data security, user/client services. The System Admin duties will vary depending on the needs of the organization and the competencies of the individual and will range from providing assistance and/or providing Tier I support to leading projects and/or providing high-level technical expertise on highly complex matters. The work will also range from generalist work to in-depth support for a more narrowly defined field. Provides leadership in the evaluation and design of existing or proposed systems to structure and access enterprise databases. Analyzes system requirements of the user department, applications programming, and operations. Submits recommendations for solutions that require definition of the physical structure and functional capabilities of databases and require data security and data backup/recovery specifications. Proposes detailed specifications and flowcharts and coordinates installation of systems.Essential Functions:• Provides technical design, implementation, maintenance, system administration and support of hardware, software, network and/or instructional technology.• Provides end-user support on information technology issues through consultation and advising, problem identification and resolution, training, and preparation/maintenance of documentation.• Participates in projects and cross-functional activities related to information technology initiatives or processes.• May provide on-call support for designated systems or services.• Gathers, analyzes, and normalizes relevant information related to, and from business processes, functions, and operations to evaluate data credibility and determine relevance and meaning.• Responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing database policies and procedures to ensure the integrity and availability of databases and their accompanying software.• Reviews progress and evaluates results. Recommends changes in procedures. Reviews progress with management.• Works with colleagues to configure hardware or software to perform installations, upgrades, testing, working at optimization of capacity planning, data storage, efficiencies, and database growth.• Works with application developers to know how applications work and tests results.• Works with implementation team to build, customize and roll out new solutions, and with consultants to design and build solution structures specific to needs.• Performs other related duties as assigned.
