Preparing journal entries, monthly and year-end closings, bank reconciliation, fixed asset maintenance, and general ledger reconciliation and being responsible for many aspects of internal reporting during the monthly close will be essential for this role. You'll be preferred for this role.Major responsibilities- Manage schedules for capital lease and monthly payments- Impromptu reporting and special projects, when requested- Prepare journal entries and account reconciliations which include, but are not limited to, cash, prepaid expenses, and payroll- Coordinate and analyze a variety of financial data, then report it in a way that is useful and understandable- Become well-versed in month end balance sheet account reconciliations- Assemble analyses for monthly balance sheets and income statements for management reporting- Maintain, implement, and adhere to internal controls. Also ensure that accounting procedures comply with GAAP- Periodic maintenance and reconciliation of journal entries- Conduct month end close and compose journal entries with minimal supervision- Participate in various department-wide initiatives- Maintain depreciation, fixed asset ledgers, and reconciliation- Support the month end, quarter end and year end closing process, which includes monthly financial close workbook preparation- Manage intercompany billings, transactions, and reconciliation
